Re: SS11's NB SE
maybe you should get nitrodan to fab up a manifold for a t28 while he's building the exhaust ;p
and some bigger injectors too go with the new ecu ... ;D

Its on my to-do list!
Also if your going the Nitrodann exhaust (good choice by the way!) if it doesn't have one, get him to weld a bung on with a cap so if you eventually install an AFR gauge you already have a spot for it ;)
To disable the beeper, remove the shroud around the steering column (around the indicator, wiper storks) 3 screws... On the wiper side towards the top of the ignition barrel you will see a plug (green wires x2 in a white plug by memory) with key in barrel unplug, you will hear the beeper stop!..
Becareful not to unplug the yellow connectors, they are for the airbags...
Test and check that you have not unplugged anything else And reassemble..
The big plus is all it disconnects is the switch that tells it the key is in place.. Everything else including lights warning on still works
Hope that helps..
Re exhaust, thanks for the comments on the bung.. Was thinking of a wideband for future, and this is good advise

Hey steebs... Mmm t28 sounds good, but think I will worry about that further down the track.. Ecu and exhaust will keep my bank sore for a while...
Loving the car, thanks again!

Awesome! Thanks for that! So simple too, I though it was coming from behind the dash cluster somewhere

Yes, the beeper is up under the cluster, BUT if you unplug the connector that goes into the switch in the ignition the. Other functions of the beeper still work eg lights on ign. But the key in door open function does not

Re: SS11's NB SE
Never really been a great fan of personalised plates, but looking at my options to get out of the White and Blue plates, the cost for standard black plates seemed a bit wasteful... so found MXVT was available (as was MX5T, but not in slim because of the number)...
anyway a few dollars and a short wait later, they arrived... Cut down the new front number plate bracket and fitted them up
Also fitted Red reflectors to the back, and the Mazda speed Oil cap.
Removed the S2000 Antenna and fitted a factory unit.
Nearly have the low cost updates covered..

Re: SS11's NB SE
Received shiny new Stainless Exhaust from Nitro Dann, very happy with build quality, and almost seems a shame that all that is exposed is the inch of tailpipe...
Presoaked all the bolts for the flanges and Dump pipe, jacked the car up and put on axle stands as high as practical... change over was fairly straight forward, it was a bit of a struggle getting the Dump pipe bolts off, but with the right combination of sockets, universal extension, got there after a couple of less than comfortable hours..
End result was satisfying with a great tone, and at first drive it certainly feels a bit more peepy.. but will need to wind the boost control down a little as it seems to hit the over boost cut now...
also installed sensor for Wide band, and will install gauge hopefully in weekend if time allows..
Wound shocks down a little bit while the car was up in the air, and feeling a bit happier about the ride height.. now really start to think about options for 15" or 16" s as the gutter rash on the Racing Harts is bugging me. after a ring a round to refribish these and repaint in shadow chrome, it does not seem like good value to spend 250 a rim for something I will end up replacing...

Nice, I was really happy with how much better my SE performed (earlier spool on the turbo particularly) with my 2.5" system, should be much better with the 3" Dann setup!
I recently had all 4 of my RH's completely refurbished @~$300 each (mercifully insurance paid for it) so you could definitely get new rims for a similar price (or less) if you wanted to change..... I wanted to keep the RH so easy choice for me.
What ride height (hub centre to wheel arch or ground to pinch weld) are you now running? Got any pictures of how it now sits?

Re: SS11's NB SE
So after looking at countless designs, and reading opinions of many different people reading size and fitment, I decided to purchase XXR wheels 16”x8 with -20 Offest, and fitted these with 205 Toyo Proxy 4’s…
This process was a bit more drawn out than I hoped, but think the effort was worth while….
In preparation, while I was waiting for the wheels to arrive, I got the rear guards rolled.
Found after buying the wheels that I needed to change the lug nuts, as the standard have a larger OD than the ID of the hole… had two attempts at ordering these before getting the Mustek lug nuts that fit right. (also ordered Aluminium hubcenteric rings to ensure good tight fit)..

Looks good mate, combo really suits.
Where did you get the aluminium hub centric rings from? I ordered some for my nb8b but when I got them they are only plastic ones.

Awesome, Installing the roll bar was one of the least frustrating and most rewarding things I've done to the car too date!
