I guess that depends where in the rpm/load area - but I can't get anywhere beyond 22 deg at 100% load across any RPM band... which seems really wrong!?

I have collected some data on this and will post on the weekend. This is one of the reasosn why I gave the car a run to see what vacuum the ITB's are making.

For a NA6 with stock master/booster 44 lbs of force on the pedal and no engine vacuum, line pressure should be between 156-171 psi. With 19.7 in of vacuum and the same pedal force, the line pressure should be 754-796.

I can try and find out how much advance is on mine, however I believe that it is close to the limits. Last dyno test it was discussed that if the car was tuned on E85 max timing could be used with no problems.

My ears... ping ping....<remove 2 deg> ....ping...<remove 2 deg> .... sounds good.

...but will be going to the Dyno and use their Det cans or whatever they use...!?

But so far, really stumped over how I can be so far away from what others achieve with spark advance.

I'm thinking the higher stock compression of 9.5 to 1 will be a factor, but still thought I'd be getting better than that...maybe not!?

Wot at 2000-4000 rpm is 15 degree. 25 at 5500, 30 at 7000. Based on alpha n tuning.

Ok, well I'm not far off that then.... so probably ok.... hard to hear ping at 5500+ so I was conservative at that area... need to complete on the Dyno.

Just learnt the previous owner of the head shaved it fairly aggressively and forgot to mention that it might now running as much as 11:1 compression !!

So that explains it then ..... LOL

What fuel are you running, with 11:1 you should be running no less than 98.

Most surprising aspect is even with pretty significant overlap tuned in, she still pulls strong like a bitch from 4k.... Pretty happy!!

Just curious on what fuel you are running now whilst tuning.

E85 is a whole other issue. Have you installed the correct valves and fuel system parts for E85? Fuel capacity will become an issue as well, have you thought about where/how you will carry the extra fuel?
