Roadside find: Along the Airport West tram line, in a light industrial area, shines a juicy beacon called The D's Souvlaki, serving pleasingly plump,
succulent and charry souvas ($10), as well as pitas doused in Nutella and strawberries ($7), to send you sweetly into the night.

do we have a time?
I'd be leaning towards around8. What say we all?

Bummer shame you cbf'd coming, its a great feed there as we have done D's before. And then usually go for a drive to the airport and watch planes do their thang.

PIONEERS RUN SUNDAY AUGUST 10th 2014
This run coincides with the 24th Anniversary of the establishment of the MX-5 Club of Victoria.
I have no affiliation beyond being a club member but it would be beaut to see lots of cars out and the country is quite spectacular at the moment.
Greg.
A mixture of some twisty bits with some highway driving, this
leisurely run will take us through some early Australian history
... part of the track taken by Burke & Wills on their ill-fated 1860
exploration, and past the site of the first flight of an Australian built
aircraft by John Robertson Duigan near Mia Mia in 1910.Starting point: Woodland Street, Strathmore (adjacent to Woodlands Park)
(Melway: 16 F12)
Meet at: 9.30am for 10am departure (run time 2 - 2.5 hours)
Finishing point: Heathcote for BYO picnic lunch (or try the bakery)
RSVP: Not essential, but it would be appreciated for planning
Contact: Murray Finlay – editor@mx5vic.org.au | 0416 247 677
