Sorry to hear that Pirate. I have only just been told that my role is being retained, however if the coal price drops again there will be more people leaving!

I picked Al up this morning and we cruised to Automotive Plus while I got he NB serviced for the track, discs machined, pads done - we walked down to GT Auto next complex and then were gone by midday, lunch at BP South and a nice chat with a guy Barry from Maryborough who was towing a Renault Dauphine and a Fiat 124 Sports [both egg yellow!] - Oakey Street Sprints this weekend. Iveco van with a HUGE trailer!

I do know what you mean JBT, Al is always the first to lend a hand to anyone

The car is on the road and the Moto-East tuning cycle us underway while I'm running in bearings, rings etc. Although rained in for the run-in I can feel the horses champing at the bit.

Should be ready for the 28th.

I have not looked into the new barrier much myself and I do not have any experience with this are but do keep in mind that part of the reason single slope barriers are recommended for higher speeds is that they are over 200mm higher. QR does look to have made some effort to improve this by adding a W beam to the top of the barrier but I could not comment on the way it was added, whether in consultation with suitably knowledgeable persons or to a standard etc.

Cheers,

Tim

Sadly guys, I won't be joining you. I do, however have three week's work with a company in the city. Drive well and stay safe at Lakeside Park. Cheers, Al.
