QR Teams Regularity Challenge at Lakeside 31/08/14

Entries now OPEN for the QR Teams Regularity Challenge at Lakeside Park!!!

When: Sunday 31st August, 2014
Time: Gates open 7.30am, cars on track from 9.30am
Event Location: Lakeside Park, Kurwongbah
Pricing: $170 per entry
Format: Qualifying plus 4 x 6 lap trials

If your passion, pride and joy has wheels and horsepower then it's time you brought it out to play! The QR Teams Regularity Challenge is a contest of consistency between sedan compatible cars.

This event is about ALWAYS operating your car in a safe and considerate manner while you drive in a sporty fashion, which never appears as closing in on the limits of your talent and ability.

We are seeking 18 teams of 4 cars (72 competitors) for a contest of consistency between sedan compatible cars. This is expected to attract a variety of combinations - e.g. contemporary cars, historic 5th category type cars, marque sports, as well as a mix of driver ages and gender!

Class 1: Lap time 1.05 (minimum) <1.10; 125 to <130kph average speed

Class 2: 1.10 < 1.15; 115 to <125kph average speed

Class 3: 1.15 < 1.20; 106 to <115kph average speed

Class 4: 1.20 upwards; 90 to <106kph average speed

Looks like a good event to get behind without being worried too much about speed differences when most of the cars that play at the club days are in the top three classes.

Pity I won't be able to play due to work, only in Brisbane for a couple of weeks before heading back to Indonesia for a month, so motorsport stuff has to play second to family type stuff after being away for the last month.

I will however be doing some motorsport type stuff like ordering bits for the S14, and hopefully having them turn up in time before I go away again.
