I've never understood all the negativity about someone's misguided passion on the internerdz. These people have no idea what they're doing. They should just stay home and write nasty things in Word so they don't hurt my feelings, much safer for all internerdz users.

Personally I have never understood why people spend heaps of time on ‘spirited drives’... They should just go to a track as they have no idea what they’re doing with all that spirited driving. Way safer for all road users...

Not sure if you're being serious. It's a totally different driving experience. There's not much more exciting/scary as going through the mountains at the top of 3rd gear. It's all about pushing the limits and chasing faster corner speeds while the rush of possible things that could go wrong flow through the brain. Track racing is higher speed and more aggressive on brakes, but different and ess likely for something to go wrong.

I wouldn't openly call out someone for "within reason" spirited driving on public roads, but I'm not interested in doing it myself anymore and would encourage others to do it on the track as well. Not having to worry about that tree if you stuff up slightly, or the person coming the other way who slightly veers into your lane, means that you can actually focus on the driving, which I imagine is what you're going for.

However if you are actually 'pushing the limits' on the public road - no, politely flower off and practice somewhere where you can't kill innocent people (you know, like a track).

When they aren't driving and making a fool of themselves, they look great from most angles. The angles which show the amount of camber they run, makes them look crap IMO. But so freaking dumb, like, if the car scrapes/smashes the ground more than you change gears, you're doing it wrong.

While some of us think its stupid and completely ruins the car, people on the "helladopesickhektikflushbro" side sit there and say, "omg why isn't that car on its rails?! It looks so stupid!" We're basically the same just with opposite tastes.

Maybe not the extreme camber or stretch, and maybe not knowingly, but lots of these guys will be going full circle back to the original design sketches for these cars. You can bet those first sketches showed impossibly low rides with huge wheels and tyres that completely fill the guards. You've all seen them in magazines/motorshows etc, where manufacturers are competing for your attention. Start with an exciting concept that catches the eye. Worry about the practicalities later.

Admittedly I do like airbag suspension, but it is for posing while parked. A lot of money and work for something you'd lose interest in quickly.

Stance is it's own form of modifying, I mean I love it. Think it looks great although some examples may go a little to far for my liking. It's exactly the same thing on v8 forums laughing at us for driving little girlie cars . They haven't experienced it so don't understand it. For some going fast means nothing. So before judging it I'd say go to a meet and actually see what goes down before making up your mind. Most cars aren't that low all the time they just do it for the shows that they go to. I've tried to be involved in as many car scenes as I could be to see from both sides of the fence and I must say one thing dedication is dedication whether your into extreme knitting or cars....
It's all good just run with it. lol
