B6 CAS orientation?

Postby AmmoJammo » Sun Jun 08, 2014 9:51 am

Good day people!
I'm currently wiring up a Megasquirt ecu to a B6t engine that I've installed in my KE Ford Laser.

Now I'm using an MX5 CAS bolted in place of the distributor, and am running a dual coil, wasted spark setup.

The question is, does it matter which way the CAS is installed, as this head has provision to mount it in two different orientations, and does it matter which way the shaft is inserted into the camshaft?

Thanks!

The shaft can only fit into the cam one way as the tang is slightly offset from center.

Not sure about orientation of CAS mounting.

No, it does not mater which way it goes.

I have to assume that the CAS orientation matters... surely if the cas is rotated 160 degrees, the tdc point will be 160 degrees off...
