The point is......you expect zero backup from ebay sellers. You get what you pay for. Anything else is a bonus.
These guys didn't blink. And I know several other guys that have the same jack and have flogged it with no issues. ...... I got a bonus.

This seller does not even tell a buyer anything about themselves or even list a refund policy thats hardly an endorsement. I would not buy anything off them and many of their prices are hardly petty cash. As a buyer I expect to have buyer rights and why shouldn't a seller back at least a faulty produc.

To repeat:

That is why they are cheap.
But.... follow the link and you can locate their physical store for contacts returns etc. ...Interthingy isn't that hard.

Expecting usual ebay all no-care, no-responsiblity, but el-cheapo.They responded a few days later (after I had actually worked how to purge the air and got it working...) to say 'we will send a new one'. Figured, yeah, right!Jack turned up today.Their ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com.au/PINNACLE-WHOLESALERS
That is indeed impressive for an ebay seller
Definitely going to check them out.
Thanks mazmad

hahahaha small world!
I know who these guys are!!
I bought a mig welder off them about 3 years ago. They are just off the hwy in Ballarat/Wendouree.
I was going to Ballarat anyway, and they were cool with me picking up the welder. Saved heaps on shipping.

It should be noted that if a Australian Business is selling an item through Ebay (or any online store front) you get all the same consumer rights and protection as you would buying from a regular shop on the street.

Re: Recommendations for 'low-profile' trolley jack?
Some of you guys are really easy to please- I expect more from a business i.e. a professional approach. Not expecting any service from e bay and a company or a backyard operation not even having any information about its co or having a refund policy is an absolute step back to the 1950's. There are plenty of sellers over the internet e.g.the MX5 UK mob that provide a good service and a back up. Buyers rights in Au - fought for and now maybe a new generation think its ok to not expect anything from a seller O/s other than a low price which may well reflect the quality of the product. PS Deviant is probably spot on about local co's on the internet.

So does anyone know if Costco still sell those Arcan aluminum jacks and for how much currently if they do?

I've decided I want one of these ones!
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Aluminium-Ra ... 0829&rt=nc
I don't care how it works, it's gotta be fast and worth at least 50rwkw even being left at home while you're out driving!

Re: Recommendations for 'low-profile' trolley jack?
I've just bought one of these on special at $24.99 from SCA:
http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/online-store/products/SCA-Trolley-Jack-Hydraulic-1400kg.aspx?pid=215072#Combo
It won't quite fit under my NC series 2 at the front, but once the front wheels are raised (I have a pair of Fiamma caravan levelling ramps), there is plenty of clearance.
I can jack from the front by initially putting the handle in upside down.
The jack did not raise the car high enough to get my axle stands in place, so I inserted a piece of 50mm hardwood between the jack head & the crossmember - problem solved.
So, with a bit of fiddling, I've got a jack that does the job. Now I have the technique, it'll be a doddle next time.
If, like me, you might only use a jack once a year, this one does the job. At that price, you can't go wrong.

I've been using one of those SCA jacks for over two years now, and it's been great. I've used mine quite a lot in that time and it's never let me down. Recently bought another one as they're so cheap, so that I can jack both sides without moving jacks ...

Costco Arcan $149 (plus membership if you don't have one)
Absolutely amazing I wish I bought one years ago instead of dealing with crappy cheap tiny trolley jacks.

Costco is now selling a red 1800kg arcan jack for $150 as mentioned, instead of the blue 1500kg one for $170
Supreme Blue NB8B, 1:16.98 at Wakefield when stock, but it's not stock any more...
