Mca blue coilover knocking?

Postby roket52 » Thu Jun 05, 2014 3:30 pm

Hi guys. Anyone else out there with knocking sound coming from their mca blue coilovers? I've had mine in and out a few times for various adjustments to the valving and from day one I have some knocking over bumps.. I'm wondering if the lower shock mount sleeve is slightly larger than the lower shock bolts which secure them. Looking to pull them back out and measure them soon but want to hear if anyone else has the same issue?

No issues that I've heard on mine but I haven't changed anything except spring preload.

will check out the pillowball when i take them back out, but i would expect as MCA has tinkered with them a few times that they should be snug.

Sailoholic - are you running blues or reds? (not that it should really matter as its only the valve stack that is different)

And the brackets holding the bushes for the sway bar whilst under the car.
I have had had a slightly (1/4 turn) loose nut make noise on a previous car.

Thanks for the advise guys. I will double check all those items. as i have done this procedure several times now im quite confident that the installation has been done properly. I even torque speced all the nuts and bolts. I believe the noise is coming from the coilovers themselves as i never had any issues with the previous stock units. I'll keep working on it till I find out though and will report back. If anyone has any other ideas please feel free to post. cheers
