I'm sure the Black 86 would be much more than the stock 147kW, and despite what people say they DO get going, most who own them wont rev them! I will see what I can find out, but the car was built by Willall Racing in Adelaide I think and used for hillclimbs and a few other things - Mike bought it I think just before our first track day in February

Here is the link that will probably satisfy those who want to know what has actually been done and some history before Mike purchased it

Geez!! more than I thought!!

Thanks Mark for the tip about running the heater to keep the temps under wrap, I wasn't able to get any proper laps on the clubman circuit but got a few laps in for the other configurations! I think it is time for me to get a new radiator!

Happy to help. Before the new radiator have a look to see how much air is going around/under the radiator. This is one area I need to fix.

That 2nd part is "LOSER TALK", you WANT FIRST!

Seriously though, I look forward to your evaluation after you've tracked your 86 - with your track time in the NB and actually owning an 86 too, you should be able to provide a reasonably unbiased critical review of the two.

Have spent a fair bit of time on US forums learning about underbonnet heat control. Ordered a reroute kit today and a bigger Chinese radiator. New ducting and bonnet vents and a turbo blanket and hopefully I might do more than one session and start learning how to drive this thing. Going to Townsville for the V8s and "grey nomading" back in my truck (towing my stock red NA6 not the black turbo), so I'll probably miss Lakeside. Meh, got plenty of time..............hang on, I'm almost 64.

Did anyone pick up a stick tyre gauge at QR? Would look new, cause it was. :)
