Re: Hoodedreeper's Mk1 The Purple Monster
Last Wednesday the MX5OC) organized a Pirelli evening at a local Tyre Centre. The guys and gals from Pirelli created 5 sections for talks/demonstrations including revving the nuts off a 2013 Porsche Carrera S
You may remember waaay back at the beginning of the build that I had gotten my hands on a Fujitsubo 4-1 Manifold. I finally dropped it off to my friend James to have it heat wrapped.
There is only one cross over on the manifold, everything else is separately wrapped
Got the exhaust bay next door to my work to fit the Manifold along with my un-silenced de-cat and stainless mid section
Heres a video https://vimeo.com/92534266
Photo of the Monster at the EA Nutz meet that I organized
With the help of a friend, got the soft top refitted today ready for the up coming summer days and nights

Be aware that there have been some issues with the sun being magnified and marking the carpet due to the shape of the vent window. This can be solved by putting a small sticker in the middle of the vent.
I'm enjoying your thread.

Looks great, getting the new beaver / lights fitted?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

A photo from the MX5OC Norfolk Meet last Wednesday
The Weekend Just gone i attended the biggest weekend modified car show here in the UK. I was lucky enough to be entered into the Top 50 Cars. Saturday morning i received a call saying that i was inside the Main Hall with the top cars of the entire show. Now usually your car has to be of a extremely high level of modification/money spent to be inside,so you can guess i was a little bit excited about being inside!
A while ago i stumbled across a photo on Instagram,i took a liking to the composition and location and needed to replicate it with the Monster. The original photo was this:
I showed the photo to my Girlfriend who had stumbled across a location on her travels. So we took a drive out this evening to have a look, here are the results.

Re: Hoodedreeper's Mk1 The Purple Monster
Attended a couple of Meets and Shows recently
I've been intrigued whether 9s would fit under the arches as they were rolled and flared when it was painted back in December. A friend of mine had some 15x9j ET0 with some 195/45/15 tyres kicking about so we had a trial fit.
I think its pretty much spot on,perhaps a 5-6mm spacer but thats all it'd need along with lowering a tad more.
Had a look for some new wheels in this fitment and the only ones i can find are Grid V,BM8,Alecia,RKR and the K7 (which has a higher offset though)

I love a bit of dish, but that stretched look makes the car seem to 'duck walk'.
Congrats on your car making the top cars of the show.
