Steering feel is odd
hey guys, looked everywhere (for about 10 minutes) but i couldnt find anything, my car turns to the left slot earsier than to the right, 1990 na6 As stock as dogs balls, kinda annoying me, also an annoying rattle from the front right wheel, might have something to do with it, but im getting a new bearing for the wheel aswell as i think it might be on its way out. Cheers!

Re: Steering feel is odd
Put it on stands and check pretty much everything tha moves.
if it pulls, and it's making rattles, I'd suggest looking at bushes/tierods/rod ends/etc before the wheel bearing.
While it's on the stands just spin the wheel to check the bearing, should spin cleanly and stay spinning for a few seconds.
If it rumbles or stops pretty much as soon as you stop pushing, it's stuffed.

i got the bearing somewhat cheap, and the bearing wazs grinding last time i checked, still turned but ground slightly. also no pull, well noticeable, it drives straight when i take my hands off the wheel.
but ill have a look at the bushes again soon,

Re: Steering feel is odd
Okay, so i took it for a drive for about 10 minutes so everything could warm up, and tried all the full lock left and right and no odd noises, the rattle only comes on when i'm on a slightly bumpy road or rough surface. ALSO when i took the car for a drive a kangaroo thought it would be a great idea to try and hop on my bonnet to hitch a ride, luckily with my evasive maneuvers i managed to let it jump into the front left quarter panel and damage that instead
the kangaroo gave up his quest and hopped away and didn't even give me his insurance details. so i'm left with a damaged front left quarter panel and still an annoying rattle aswell as the problem that turning left is easier than turning right.

Re: Steering feel is odd
Have you checked tyre pressures?
I know it's obvious but if it's just pressures then you can rest easy.
Sucks about the roo, though.
Looks like you're a candidate for some carbon-fibre fenders

May as well try dropping them down a bit, it might not do anything but hey, it's free.

Re: Steering feel is odd
steering feel is back to normal. still a tiny bit less difficult to turn left, also, rattle was solved by pulling the whole front hub and everything off then putting it all back mon. looks like it could have just been something loose, but yesterday i changed my oil with nulon 73w90 full synthetic stuff, and that addative, replaced all 2.1L of oil and now there is an odd noise from my gearbox ( i think)
every time i "fix" something another problem arises or another sound shows up,
this is the only odd noise my car makes, i solved almost all of the cabin rattles and brake rattles and all that, now theres another odd rattle from the gearbox, Unless its just the exhaust or something near the gearbox
