Postby StanTheMan » Sun May 18, 2014 7:56 am

Ive checked fuses. under dash & engine bay. several times....unless ive missed one.

its unlikely the ignition barrel. when thats faulty. the wipers & wiper water dont work either. both those work.

switch?

any Idears where to start looking

if anyone knows which fuse....I'll check it again.

Is the window motor working?

It could be the switch contacts. Do you have a multimeter?

I don't have a multimeter. Wouln't have a clue how to use one either.

neither window is working. So that kind of makes me think its either a fuse or a completely buggered switch.
the switch itself it is not possible to remove wiring without cutting the wire....so cleaning contacts....perhaps not possible?

So I can't clean the contacts.

But I guess I'll take the switch apart & clean internally?

By the way you can clean the contacts. Pop the switch apart. This is how you can rectify slow windows.

Hi.
If you take the switch apart do it with the switch in a bag to contain the contacts as they are rather small.
