NA's Show off your rims!

Can you throw one of the wheels on to a set of scales? With/without tyre does not matter as long as you say what size tyre.

People are interested in these wheels and the weight is a priority. They want the weight confirmed by someone who has very little conflict of interest.

In response to the above quotes.

I have just weighed one of my wheels with tyre on it.
Wheel with tyre (195/50/15) weighs 14kg.

If the tyre weighs 9.4kg then the wheel is 4.6kg
Even if the tyre was to only weigh 9kg then they are still a light weight wheel at 5kg.

I hope that clarifies things and I apologise for being a little grumpy earlier. I really thought that people were yanking my chain and wanting me to just waste my time.

Personally I don't like black wheels but my options were black or red.
Now that I've done further research, I've found that they also come in a grey colour, which I would have preferred.

They are growing on me and as I've said before, I like the lip and the light weight. :)

given the average weight of a 195/50r15 tyre the wheels work out to be roughly 5.5kg. still light, but not amazingly so

they do look cool

Thanks Kazama,
So a 195/50/15 usually weighs 8.5Kg? Sorry I have no idea.
Remember reading somewhere that they were about 9Kg but can't recall where.

Thanks!

Just found a tyre weight guide on miata net. 195/50/15s range from as light as 17 pound to 21 pounds. Converted to metric; 7.7kg to 9.5kg.
Seems to be a bigger range than what I was expecting.

I wish mine were bronze/gunmetal. Would anyone want to trade if they want polished lip?
