You're a bit brighter than me on the clearcoat then, I didn't do it on mine and wished I did since I now have to redo it.
I've tried sanding it back a bit and respraying it but anodised red just looks patchy so needs to be sanded right back to bare metal to get the pain even

That is a gloriously simple solution to fitting an oil cooler into an NA/NB - wish I'd seen it before fitting mine in the driver-side wheel well.
Since you haven't fitted it, if it doesn't have one already, consider adding a drain plug to the bottom of the oil cooler section so that you can properly flush the oil when doing oil changes. One of the problems with many oil cooler solutions is that after an oil change, you still end up with old oil in the system that was sitting in the oil cooler.

I just checked out this radiator/oil cooler combo in Magpie's thread.

Oh man I want one of those. I've spent alot of time thinking where the best spot for an oil cooler is, I now have an answer. Now to find out who else makes them as it seems FM doesn't make them anymore

They're an Aussie company but unfortunately like most good Aussie products, it's cheaper to import them back to Australia from O/S.
ie. FM no longer sell them but you can order them direct from PWR Performance Products at extorted-Aussie prices.

Thanks for that Lokiel. Have emailed to see just how much it is. If it is as bad as you say, its no wonder people buy so much stuff from overseas/the internet. Yet local business won't help themselves.

Beware of PWR. They can do good work, and charge like it but unless your a high end race team...
Last I checked the combo was about a grand. Magpie bought one and mx5 plus had all sorts of trouble fitting it because they made it the wrong size. Their drawing was wrong to make it fit and the rad didn't even match the drawing!

Had a chat to them yesterday.
NB part no is pwr5118, retails for $1,265.
Core is 55mm, but total depth is 67mm which sounds huge and would need slim fans to fit with SEs IC piping, I still don't know whether it would fit.
