Yep I made 171 HP atw in different conditions - I still haven't scanned in my dyno chart yet.
The important thing, is we're getting pretty consistent numbers for similar mods @12 psi.

The dyno we're using is known to report low and I've heard phrases like "heart breaker".
HP number lovers have gone to other hub dyno's in Perth and have seen a 20% difference.

Saying dynos report low or optomistic is a crock of sh*t - like saying my scales are a heart breaker because they say i weigh too much.... measuring instruments should be accurate, consistent, reliable etc etc.

But dynos aren't.

Sorry.

Whether or not the car pulls itself up the front roller and off the rear one is worth up to 15kw straight up for example. Big power cars are affected less by this effect. Slow ramp rates make this effect smaller due to more friction less intertia being used as a ratio etc etc

True, they are only measure relative changes ie. dyno, change setting, dyno again, any difference???

And you better do it with same day, equipment, operator for it to have any relevance.

Trying to stay away and not mess up Dave's thread but yep, they're tools for tuning.
What I was trying to say is:
1) Two cars similar mods
2) Similar weather conditions
3) Same operator, same dyno

Consistent and similar values = good. Then there are other factors to worry about like slippage etc.

Dann's got it with the stopwatch.

Was trolling around the net on a lazy Sunday morning and came across a replacement steering wheel to suit airbag equipped NBs.
Now knowing you like a bit of Carbon Okibi I thought this might tickle your fancy for a future upgrade, just don't look at the price.....

I looked Image

- it's the airbag that demands this price and because it includes an airbag it probably can't be shipped since it's classed as an explosive device.

Nice find though.

It can be shipped it would just have to go sea freight or shipped as a dAngerous goods. You can air freight dangerous good but it's extra work and cost (and not provided by your basic shippers)

Now the BEGI intake is in and the car is tuned i've had time to spray my FM throttle body intake.

A nice silver intake would have suited my old NB but with the black on black on black theme emerging the shiny silver elbow stood out like dogs balls.

And undercoat of Black hi temp paint then some wrinkle finish paint

I sat it in the BBQ for half an hour to bake

Here is it all back together
Image

White I had the spray cans out I decided to paint my cusco radiator shield thingo.
After spending hours polishing all the anodizing off this once, I felt bad attacking it with sandpaper

Looks good!

Now all you've got to do is the cam cover, intake plenum, strut tower brace and radiator cap and you wont be able to find anything at all if you break down by the road at night! :P

You missed a couple of bits:

1. The top blue section on the EBC:
Image

2. The thermostat housing:

Also, consider adding an acrylic clearcoat to the radiator panel to protect the paint from chipping - that panel seems to get beat up no matter how careful you are.

Yup already plan on copying your work with the mac valve.

I have a black thermostat housing with maruha motors sensor spacer sitting in the shed for when I can be bothered installing my FM twincooler.

I also have my mazdaspeed strut brace in the shed so I can truly be your disciple. I just need to rob a bank so I can fly my car to Automotive Plus and NitroDann

... and I already put a few coats of clear on that plate.
