Most shops I have been into in my local area just give me a blank stare when I ask for 15" wheels.

Where does everybody buy theres from?
Same with tyres, Will need to get something on these wheels too!
Thinking KU36 at the moment.

Enkei RPF1? SSR Type C? 6UL? All quite light and strong.

Avoid tyre shops. Research on the net and then shop around for whoever has the cheapest price. It's usually involving buying online since websites have lower overhead costs. I already recommended Autotechnik Tuning for wheels, quite sure 949Racing has some 6UL wheels left as well.

Looking at Kumho KU36 tyres with what ever wheels will be suitable for track/daily driving use.

Can anybody recommend some tyre shops?

I'd recommend thinking about a budget. Wheels can get real expensive real fast.

Tyre shops? Call around and ask for whoever has a KU36 in the size you want. Get the cheapest. I'd also recommend looking at the Hankook RS3. Fair warning though, these tyres aren't the best for wet weather.
I guess this is my signature.

Rs3s aren't made in a 15" anymore. Consider buying tires and wheels from the states.

Goodwin racing. You might need to use a freight forwarder. There are a few recommendations on here.

Strange. Hankook's Australia website says they make them in 225/45/R15.

Has anybody heard of SSW peak wheels?

I think they are a enkei rpf1 knock off?

Seen them on eBay, apparantly only weigh 4.9kg?

Can't seem to find any manufacturing info about them tho.

Tire rack now won't ship dunlop, Bridgestone Toyo and something else for memory due to manufacturer restrictions.

Might have a brand or two wrong but pays to check before deciding. Our just use a freight forwarding agent.

Goodwin won't ship tires on rims?

That's a bummer about tirerack - I guess there must have been enough of us who bought O/S tyres to cause local companies to demand this restriction.

When I bought my first set of 6ULs I wanted to buy rims and tyres from Goodwin but Brian informed me that they will not ship tyres O/S.

If I could find the 6ul rims locally - brand new ...I'd already have them!

Also same with the rfp1's, I'd really like to see them in the flesh..

Buying online is great if you know why you want...

Probably easier to find someone who has them then find a local retailer.

Can't you order 6UL straight from 949Racing?

Quite sure shipping is about 400-500, so that would make the entire wheel only package close to 1k.

FlyinMiata are soon releasing their Jongbloed Racing Aero 500 wheel, might be worth a look.
