Cal, we're leaving Golden Beach at 7am. So we should be at Lakeside not too much after 8am. So you'll be safe if you arrive then.
Cheers,
Danny

29.5mm of rain at my place to 4.00am, BOM site shows it easing off and seems to be clearing from the west
See you all there!

Great day really despite the weather
A few offs, including me doing some gardening up Eastern loop
Still managed some 64s on star specs during the dry sessions
The interstate guys loved the track
Bit of mud to hose off but kept many centimetres away from the tyre wall phew

Re: NatMeet Track Day - 14 Apr 14
Absolute tremendous day considering the weather!!
Thanks to JBT for the invite, so much appreciated!! Nice to get the first 4 runs in with no rain and I managed a PB of 1:09.1248, closer to the damn 1:08.9999 I'm looking for!!
Thanks to Doug, Barb and all the QR Staff for the as usual excellent manner in which they ran the day and to Neil who 'drove' the timing and Control Tower, also the canteen staff and the great job the flaggies did - appreciated!! Thanks also to the medics, people we must have but so nice when not needed
Finally, thanks to all the Interstate and local competitors for the friendship extended, the pits became quite jovial [whatever that means!] and just a fun place to be, to walk up and down pit lane and hear the fantastic comments on Lakeside Park, a place us locals treasure and love - and so nice that so many Interstate competitors took the time to join a few of us 'locals' for coffee at the BP Northbound Burpengary, I think I counted 12 around the extended tables, 'Guran', 'Charlie Brown', Greg B and his wife to name a few - thanks to all
A special congratulations to Jean from NSW in her NC, what a wonderful lady and I'm so pleased to see you turning in such great times!!
It's days like today I'm proud to own an MX5

Re: NatMeet Track Day - 14 Apr 14
What a great day despite the "passing sun showers" which seemed quite frequent and I don't recall seeing much sun, except for of course from the minute I put the car onto the trailer!
We were fairly lucky in our group to get a few relatively dry sessions between the showers and I am pretty happy with the times I managed to set considering.
One of these days I think I might try to go out on a dry day
Thanks to all those who helped to organize and run the day especially the volunteers, it was run well as usual.
Cheers,
TIm

Re: NatMeet Track Day - 14 Apr 14
What a great but strange day.
Despite the weather, rubbing tyres, more rubbing tyres, running out of fuel (Twice!), spinning in Hungry, spilling fuel (twice!), and a recalcitrant wiper arm I had a great day. I got my fastest lap chasing "Charlie Brown", but cautiously as he seemed keen to try spinning on every corner It wasn't even close to my PB, but I got something even better: the final five laps were all within 0.07s of each other, without chasing or being chased. Next time I'm doing the regularity...
Special thanks to ALL the Natmeet team, and the Lakeside team for organising another great trackday.

Some great shots there. I'll make a purchase this time, now the car is sans stickers and race numbers.
Thanks very much to John and the other organisers. Was a great day.
I was stoked to take 2/10th off my PB in that car to record a 1.01.20. Ironic to have achieved it on a track day when it's done so many race meetings there over the years!
