Which wheel size/width and brand do I buy for my NA?

You can fit 15x8 with 205/50 without requiring rolled guards. You can have low if you desire. That size is near ideal scrub radius as well. I run that set up

Pretty sure I have decided on the Enkei 15x7 RPF1...Just trying to decide on what color now, and what offset.

What are the pro's and cons of running higher/lesser offset?

I understand the smaller the number, the more the wheel sticks out. Other then that, is there any benefit to having the wheel out more?
I don't really want to roll guards, is it just for the flush look? Or can you run bigger tyres with a larger offset?

And best place to purchase...?

High offset means the tyre is closer to hitting stuff on the inside (guard liner, control arms, shock body)

Low offset means it's closer to outside stuff, mainly the guards.




Not that it really matters, I'm pretty sure the RPF1 is fairly limited in the offsets they offer anyway.

either one will have miles of room for the tyre.


If it helps you decide, the Mazdaspeed wheels that were an option in Japan are 15x7 +38

You'll sit out 3mm further, which is nothing

If you're nit-picky, look into scrub radius. You can easily work out what width/offset combination you need to maintain stock scrub radius (which IIRC NA's have set to the optimal value as stock) My 2¢

I'd give Autotechnik Tuning a buzz personally.

I picked up a set of Enkei 92 Silver 15x7 +38 for under 1k shipped to my door. Took 8 weeks for me, but I think they keep RPF1 stock down in Sydney. Oh, and my wheels weigh 6.21kg each, so they're not super light.

This will throw the cat among the pigeons.
On my NA I had 15x7,when I decided to have them painted I put the std 14 inch back on. It was a far nicer and better balanced car with the 14's.

No guard rolling or fitment issues. Put it on, bolt it up. Enjoy.

I've done 35 commuter kilometres on them so let me rack up at least 1000km before I give a review.

Preliminary things I have noticed is that it's the slightest bit more effort to turn the wheel, smoother ride and slightly less noise. I have no idea on grip since I haven't tried to find the limit in a corner.

Most shops I have been into in my local area just give me a blank stare when I ask for 15" wheels.

Where does everybody buy theres from?
Same with tyres, Will need to get something on these wheels too!

Havn't really thought about a budget.

Looking at Kumho KU36 tyres with what ever wheels will be suitable for track/daily driving use.

Can anybody recommend some tyre shops?
