Re: Show me your interiors.
Alex, are you just using the velcro to hold the lower half of your Trap panel in place? I'm debating wether to run some bolts through the side or just stick with the velcro.
Some more shots of my interior.
I had to raise the centre carpet with a sheet of MDF because the Eunos trim ring won't fit around the upper shift boot, which has made it all look a bit poor fitting. I plan on getting one of these so I can dump the MDF.

That looks very tasteful Jimmy. Great detail in the console work and lots of nice detail. The seats and door trims top it nicely.

Jimmy,
The analogue clock is a great touch.

When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Morlock, they use industrial over lockers. Very different to home ones. I've used industrial sewing machines and over lockers before. Quite different. I'm doing it myself, not sending them out, hence the importance equipment is up to the job.

Sorry totally missed this one!!
Im only using the velcro, I like being able to get in and at the stereo when needed and the HVAC panel.
The toggle switches and covers hold it on too.

Re: Show me your interiors.
Here's mine, lots of mx5 mania parts in here. Not added by me.
Just fixed a skewif gear knob today.
Head unit is a Jvc, which I added a month ago and am loving. Bluetooth can wirelessly stream Spotify from my phone, and the audio quality compared to the oem unit is chalk and cheese.
Pics!

Looks good, that head unit matches in well.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: Show me your interiors.
Do you find glare or sunlight an issue with the screen?
I'm thinking of something similar for my NB
Cheers

Re: Show me your interiors.
Thanks, Okibi.
Just had a look at the photos on the PC and they really are shocking, doesn't do the interior justice at all
Emmx5, no, not at all.
Really am surprised myself, I originally wanted a capacitive (hard glass like an iPhone) touchscreen HU but couldn't find one within budget. I thought the slightly frosted look of the resistive screen would look cheap, but it doesn't. It also has the huge benefit of being very un-reflective which gives excellent sunlight visibility.
The hands-free works an absolute treat along with the audio streaming, and I could change the lights to match the red of the Mazda.
Can't recommend the upgrade enough, best $350 I ever spent on a car.
Although I had to go through this...

Re: Show me your interiors.
Off comes the console...
Of course the Oem HU fights me so I have to remove the glove box and tackle it from there...
Much fiddling with various tools later...
Where's the rest of the pics you ask?
Well that's when it started getting trickier, and I started swearing.
Ended up paying some car audio guys in Dandenong to finish up the job, after I had the JVC unit in and working.
They charged me next to nothing and made sure the final result looked factory.
