Pretty sure US MX5/miata is left hand drive.
Then is depends on the year, and as I remember the interior should be some minor difference.

Only if you call Mazda Japan and ask for a special request, then you go to your local Mazda dealer, inform them of the special request and give them your name, contact details, your shoe size (make sure it's US size number not European), and the name of at least one of your children, or if you don't have any kids, then the prospective name you will give to the child you will have with your future wife or husband.

Agree Steampunk, going to a local dealer is useless! I tried to email both Mazda Australia and Mazda Japan but to no avail

Re: AUDM vs USDM vs JDM 5s
Mostly just trim level differences.
In the NA6 for example;
Aus got the LE - leather interior, scuff plates, AC, no PS
Jap got the V Special - leather interior, scuff plates, AC, PS
Engine/gearbox were all the same. Some make the argument that the Jap ECU was tuned for higher RON but there's a fair amount of debate around that.
There's probably as much difference differently optioned locally delivered cars as there is between any given Aus/Jap car.
Oh and sunvisors. JDM split sunvisors are the shiz.

Re: AUDM vs USDM vs JDM 5s
I've read about cam/header differences in the US miatas (something to do with emissions in Cali?)

Re: AUDM vs USDM vs JDM 5s
USDM all seem to have airbags.
Seen airbag option on jdm na8, not any AusDM though.
Some of the US miatas (maybe just cali) have resonator(s) in the exhaust mid pipe, never seen that on jdm/AusDM either.

Re: AUDM vs USDM vs JDM 5s
USDM. As already mentioned, left hand drive. They also have different 'packages' The base package had steel wheels and manual windows, where as all AUDM have alloy wheels and power windows.

Re: AUDM vs USDM vs JDM 5s
USDM Na's have absolutely horrid interiors similar to nb's. They also had driver and passenger side airbags and power steering. US models also don't have the round side indicators.
There are Euro versions which havethe na8 rear finishpanel and were fitted with a rear foglight.

LHD Clutch Master Cylinders aren't interchangable with RHD cars.
Not 100%, but this may also apply to the Brake Master Cylinders as well.

Re: AUDM vs USDM vs JDM 5s
USDM cars got the OBDII port/socket/plug/hole/thingy from the '96 MY onward.
Didn't get them here until well into the 00's.
No idea about JDM or UKDM cars.

Re: AUDM vs USDM vs JDM 5s
The only Australian NA8A's that had a LSD were the Clubman's, which came standard with LSD, no power steering , no A/C, and Bilstein's that almost required a kidney belt!
Not sure about JDM.
