1990 Jap import & Club rego

Postby Robbo107672 » Mon Mar 31, 2014 9:07 pm

G'day, hoping someone can help with a question I have..

I have a 1990 LE NA6 imported from Japan and first registered in Victoria in 2005. It should be eligible for club rego when the reg is up in December but Vic Roads want evidence of 'compliance date'. Problem is that the imports don't have build (compliance) date on the plates attached to the car. Without the evidence of compliance date, Vic roads assume worst case and it won't be eligible for another year.

I've been searching for a VIN / serial number list of build dates which I know is out on the net some where but buggered if I could find it again.

Can anyone help with info a link to said list ?

Thanks, Rob

Should have a compliance plate riveted somewhere under the bonnet.

Be aware though, if Club reg goes off compliance date (which I think it may) there's a pretty good chance that it will be too "new" to be put on a permit.
