Hi
I am a little embarrassed to ask, however. For some reason I am intimidated by the coil over system of leads. To replace them do I only replace the two conventional leads.
Thanks
Steven

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Just another reason to avoid an Nbb. . Convert to full COP and never change a plug lead again.

Re: Changing SE Plug leads
I've got one of the Fab9 COP kits now but will hold off on installation until I'm ready for final tuning - too many other things holding me up from running-in my new engine.
A word of warning though: Last November, when I first heard about these, I ordered them from Fab9 using their standard USPS and it was posted in good time. They hadn't arrived by mid-December so I sent USPS an e-mail regarding their whereabouts and provided them with the tracking number. This was their response:
Dear Simon,
Thank you for contacting the United States Postal Service.
Ordinary Letter Post and Global Priority items do not offer tracking or tracing as part of the service. For this reason, the members of the Universal Postal Union have agreed that accepting or processing inquiries for Letter Post and GPM items is not mandatory. Accordingly the United States Postal Service has decided that it will no longer accept inquiries on Letter Post items, including Global Priority Mail.
We appreciate your notifying us of the possible delay or loss of the item you mailed. Please accept our apology for the possible delay or loss of this item and the inconvenience this matter has caused you.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo, Consumer Affairs Associate

That REALLY pissed me off and I still haven't seen them.
Lesson Learned: ALWAYS used FedEx or UPS for expensive international orders.
I really wanted the COPs and also decided to upgrade my intercooler to their 350hp version too (the larger one is unnecessary since I only plan to run my car under 300rwhp - the larger capacity 500hp version would just mean more lag) so I re-ordered them and explicitly requested to use FedEx or UPS. They arrived safely this time.

Re: Changing SE Plug leads
Did you order the MSM specific ones they now have to allow for the powder coating on the rocker cover or are you just going to trim the ones supplied?
Did you get reimbursed for the first failed delivery or did you have to pay for them twice?

Coil On Plug. Ignition coil connects directly to the spark plug.

The factory wasted spark COP set up on the 8B/8C/SE works just fine.
Yes, you only need to replace the two conventional leads.

Re: Changing SE Plug leads
I had to pay for them twice - Fab9 wasn't at fault and they did give me a cheaper FedEx price.
I have the MSM specific COPS - the first set were generic versions so I would have had to cut the rubber mounts a bit since initially they weren't aware of fitment issues on the powder coated msm manifold.
