Wow  That didn't take long. The vacancy is filled but I'm now taking names for the stand by list.

NB serviced and check over at Automotive Plus this morning - thanks to Jason, Jeff, Deanne and the Staff for allowing me to bring the car straight down when I would have been happy to drop it in next week - excellent service as always!

See you at Lakeside 14th Danny!!

Danny,

Pssst.

Phil Ashton from NSW (Charlie Brown) has entered as the third entrant in class H with us. He had a well sorted NA 2000cc NC at the last Natmeet and he peddles it very well having nocked a full 3secs of his Wakefield Park lap times since then. You don't happen to know what he has done to enter class H do you? Possibilities are 2.3l, 2.5l because I don't think he has gone down the FI route.

No idea John, but if you're running R-spec tyres like I am then Phil might be on his own in H-Class. However, if we're all on R-spec and seeing that there are only three of us in H-Class, JBT might leave us there instead of moving us to J-Class and omitting H-Class.

See you Monday week. :D

Cheers,
Danny

Ensure that Charlie Brown can run on R Spec's I reckon is the solution. Charlie Brown what tyres do you normally run on the track?

I have both R specs and 200 tread ware tyres that I bought for natmeet. The road tyres make Lakeside a bit scary on the limit though especially breaking hard from over 200kph. Allowing group H to run R specs would be safer if Phil agrees.

Phil usually runs Kumho V70A. Though I expect he'll be taking his road tyres up to NatMeet ... just as he did for Canberra 2012.

I've got to admit I'm a bit disappointed to see that I'm the only one running in Class A "Standard NA6". I'll just have to make do with seeing how many scalps I can take from "faster" classes.

Should be a fair few, especially considering the reputation Lakeside has for eating the overly enthusiastic. As long as you're not scared... :P

Bryan, i'd say with 'little reddys' reputation, aim for 1:10, being total standard that would be an excellent time and any better then classify that as excellent!! Regardless, a lap of 1:12 or thereabouts is a total fun lap that gets the blood pumping - see me when you arrive at the track and I will introduce you to 'trackphotos' [Ross] and get the 'lapceiver' organised for you for the day

I'm definitely in J-Class because I don't have a set of 180+ treadwear tyres to qualify for H-Class entry. So it looks like it'll be up to you John.

Danny

Danny - surely you can get your hands on a set nc rims and road tyres
Otherwise we miss out on Qld points
I have my set of 200 utg 205/15 star specs I used for natmeet 2012 and Wakefield
They will be a bit slower than my 225/15 rs3s though
