headlight vent

Postby rossburns » Sun Mar 16, 2014 7:11 pm

have noticed that on some na mx5's that the vented headlight cover is on the drivers side and some on the passenger side, and a couple on both, for extra cooling on a na 8 which mostly does club runs and the occasional track day, is there a benefit and what side would be the most benificial :NA8:

Side depends on where your intake is. Benifit probably depends on implementation.

It will impair engine cooling.

Arguably there may be some benefit for intake air but its so low it cannot even be measured or proven on a dyno.
