I've just installed Racing Beat Headers on my otherwise stock NA8A.
I expected a gain at the top end and got it, but also was quite surprised at the increase in mid range torque which was unexpected going from stock 4-2-1 to Racing Beat's 4-1. Racing Beat seem to have done their homework with these headers.
Overall the car feels much better to drive, and sounds a little deeper in note but not really louder.
Next step is to replace the rest of the exhaust system from the cat back and then a CAI.
Cheers
Dave

Re: Racing Beat Headers
Hi Dave,
Not that I'm sceptical but do you mind posting before and after dyno results? It definitely be useful for others thinking about upgrading stock headers.

Re: Racing Beat Headers
Dave if you can get the dosh together you should invest in the entire system. Automotive Plus did my racing beat system for my racecar. I only have a MX5 Mania air intake on a completely stock engine. It went from 76.2Hp @ 5327rpm to 89.1Hp @ 6161rmp the boys at the shop were extremly impressed with the 12.9Hp gain all without a tune. On track at Lakeside that equated to a 1.89 second improvement and I was stoked to say the least.

13 hp got a nearly 2 second improvement? Wow.
CES is another good option for exhausts.

Re: Racing Beat Headers
Sailaholic got to take my car for a small spin around MX5 Plus and it has a full racing beat. CES are another good alternative and available locally.
