Great setup, Dann does some awesome fab work. Love the engine bay, looks very stealthy and oem.
Good power figure too, hopefully do this to mine one day.

Not cheap but a seriously good looking piece of equipment.
Who sells them?

Re: The journey to Apu
I sell them - I'm the Works Engineering distributor.
I can bring them in but we need a minimum order of 4 to get them made up.
Sailaholic - there isn't a kit for NA but Dann's got an enclosed cone version he's been using for the Mania-style intake.

We've got a new one that's just been released. Have a look on our Facebook page Works Engineering Australia.
The problem is that the NA's have very little space because of the pop up headlights.

That's the pro-induction? Looks nice. Yes space is a real issue. I was looking at doing a civic style (half width) radiator to free up some mouth space on the drivers side for a filter and oil cooler. Costs of everything mounted up and I never did anything but still keep my eye out for ideas.

Re: The journey to Apu
So after a week of driving Apu around, the delivery is really smooth and the car feels like it's came out of the factory as it is.
I added a tube from the in-built BOV to the nipple on the first intake runner and that's eliminated the flutter so now the only giveaway is the "chhhew!" when I change gears.
Unfortunately...I think I've gotten used to the power. It feels..."normal" again. Not sure if it's just getting used to it or if I'm just comparing to my other cars (the MX5 was the weanie of the lot performance wise). That said, I don't have to wring it as hard to get it to move.
I'd love to bring it to the dyno just to be sure, and I want to turn up the wick as well - from what I read, 150rwkw should be a safe number?

Re: The journey to Apu
I'll get some pics up this weekend - getting some new oil lines in and tidying up a few things.
I went to Mania yesterday for a bit of a fine tune. Dave sat with me whilst I drove around. The result is great! The car was stalling at idle when hot, which is a bit of a problem when driving to work and parking. No issues now and he's also smoothed it out in a couple of areas (too technical for me), so when I hit the throttle in third for example, the car just pulls away without any hesitation.
I'm delighted with the outcome. Dann's built a really nice manifold, and did all the piping for the intercooler etc, and the guys at Mania have finished it off nicely. It's come together really well.
I don't have the latest dyno chart but it's about 150rwkw on .5 bar (about 7psi). It's still on the 4.1 so it's undergeared. I have the old 3.63 open diff but I want my T2 in it still, so looking for a swap for convenience reasons.
