Did the soft top drain holes a while back after I found a damp spot behind the passengers seat.

Yeah, there the ones.
Fitted my MX5 Plus roll bar yesterday, took about 2 hours of mucking around but I am extremely happy with it.
After I install a couple of tow hooks, a fire extinguisher and renew my SSCC membership and CAMS licence it will see its first shake down.
Excitement x 1 million.

Nice one on the roll bar but where are the pics? (It didn't happen if no pics)
I am working on the fire extinguisher bracket at the moment. Just have to cut the sheet and drill some holes.
I haven't done anything about tow hooks but have just ordered some tyres.

Pulled out my eyeball vents last night using the credit card technique.

They were suffering droopy eye's!
Removed the factory felt and replaced with some adhesive felt and now all back together like new.

Nice - did the same thing last weekend. I used two laminated membership/discount cards, lifted straight out. Bit harder getting the eye balls out.

Yes, those eye balls are a bit scary to release. I was glad when they went back together properly.

my GV front lip arrived today. instructions in another language. I'm guessing there are bolt holes on the car and I just bolt it up?
Any other tips before I attempt it tonight apart from get longer bolts from bunnings?

Uummm No. There are no holes, they need to be drilled. It is a massive advantage to have a helper to do this to hold it in place whilst drilling and bolting.
I did not use the stick tape on the lip for my install as I figured it would be coming back off as a minimum to paint my front bar + lip.
I sort of disregarded the instructions, jacked up the front of the car to make it easier to work on, and then played around with where I felt the lip sat best to 1) the shape of the front bar 2) for aesthetic look of the car.
I used some masking tape when getting the position right but this was limited help.
Work out the center of the car and center lip and use this to work from.
I did have to drill a couple of holes for the first hole as I found it not far enough back so there was no real space to fit the bolt.
The front bar is maybe 8mm thick at the front so there is a bit of volume in that front curve at the bottom of the bar.
Once the center is located, I just lined up the bar for the position then drilled the next hole working out.

I have now booked in for my first track day with the MX5. So there are a few details to prepare in the next couple of week.
New tyres fitted today. Federal 595RS R 195/50/15 on the factory wheels.
Fire extinguisher bracket fabricated and polished out of an old piece of aluminum I had removed from a door.
Jobs still to do,
Fit padding to roll bar.
Change fuel filter.
Almost there.

Got the fuel filter changed in about 1 hour this morning. Hardest part was working out how much force to use to get the lines off and onto the fuel filter. Only lost about 100ml so not too bad.
Also fitted the correct battery with breathers.

Had a fun day at Wakefield today for my first track day and my first with the MX5. Was a well run event run by AGI Engineering.
As my first time i started in the Novice Group. I managed to get an instructor for my second session and this was a great help.
After lunch I got move to the Intermediate group so i could get some timing.
The First timed session I managed a 1:19.83. OK but I was sure I could do better.
Second and final timed session I managed 1:18.782. Happy with that.
The car cam out mostly as she arrived. The exhaust may have developed a small leak or cracked the crappy headers I bought. The weekend will reveal all.
Changing the thermostat last week had solved my hot air from the vents and the car was perfect water temperature wise all day.
