Torsens don't really wear anything like a clutch pack or Viscous.

Torsens operate via gears, by the time the gears have worn out enough to make an open diff you'll have also worn the crown wheel and pinion.

They do however wear the thrust washers, which means the pre-load drops right off (On Torsen 2 anyway, can't remember if T1 has the same system re: preload)

I don't think the t1 had the same washers in it.

May not have.

I only had a brief look at a T1 centre, whereas I've poked around a T2 up close.
