Wow.. 4 months to the day since my last post. Time flies.
Nothing major to report until recently - the last few months I've satisfied my frequent e-window shopping at your typical Mx5 retailers by sourcing bits and pieces that will address areas in which points I had been lost at the concours. Some of these being a new cover for the fuse box in the engine bay, this one with the sticker showing the fuse box layout and a new coolant over flow bottle, also with its sticker. Details details competitors beware!
So, the more interesting news!
I found me one of these on YJ
Till next time.

Re: Wassup's Na6 - Toad
Its been almost 2 years since my last update... Lets play catchup!
Lets start with 2014:
A pic at the crack of dawn ahead of one of the many Breakfast Club runs. The picture set the scene for what turned out to be an awesome day....
I also competed in the Annual Concours event at the Clubs Presidents picnic. This time I got within 2 points of the winner for the NA class. However I managed to come away with the Best in Show award for the second year running. A good result!
2015 saw pretty much the same with the various club runs and most of my free time spent doing house renovations but I managed to find time to compete in the 2015 Concours.
Unlike the house, the garage wasn't as roomy as previous years so i had to be alittle more creative with my workspace. Back in 2013 the car had its first proper inside out clean, 2014 saw a general clean up so this year I decided to go all out. Areas where I had lost points previously like a fuse box cover with the missing decal and missing rear factory fitted mud flaps were corrected. I also went further again on the paint correction and this time applied a ceramic coating on the paint in an attempt to bring out the best what is a very difficult colour for depth and gloss. Total prep duration was 4 weeks.
Gyeon quartz coating applied post paint correction. No heat lamps so 7 days curing time was required. Not bad for original 25 year old paint!
and the result?
The hard work really paid off this year with the nearest concours competitor some 50points clear.
Some additional shots from the 25th anniversary event where the Concours was held
A huge surprise was when I received the Spring 2015 Club magazine. We made the cover for a second time!!!
I'll try to keep the updates alittle more regular going forward....
