Sakura Motor Sport Engine Management?

Postby The American » Fri Feb 28, 2014 7:56 am

Hi All,

my NB8B has aftermarket engine management that apparently uses "BP Tuner" software, and the 'about' in the software itself copywrites it to Sakura Motorsport. I've searched here and googled elsewhere and can't find any references. Has anyone heard of this program, can point me in the direction of some more info?

I have not looked at the ECU (which is probably a big clue) as yet, as I've not had time to get near the car since picking it up.

Cheers

From what I could find Sakura Motor Sport is/was based in Puerto Rico. They developed a ECU for the Mazda FC10 RX-7. Most references I could find are quite a few years old, and their website is not active. I also did a search on the big forum, and could not find anything there.

Similarly, but did find this reseller's page of Sakura Motorsports hardware:

Looks like FC10 was also the name of their software at the time - may be it changed to or from, or was adapted to, BP Tuner.

thanks for the responses.

I emailed Mx5 Mania, as they were the original suppliers of the ECU. Ajay got back to me inside a day and confirmed that this was a product they used to use and supply, however the creator has passed away and the software is no longer supported.

I think I will have a look through the forum for some tips on possible ECU upgrades!
