Great!!
Thanks Ross and also thank the guys - I think I saw them on the balcony of the 'Bus Stop' building, didn't wave because I was concentrating on getting thru under the bridge - I have no idea why yesterday I was actually ducking my head thru there!

They've actually only competed a couple times and have been in different classes because Todd runs slicks and is non-registered, Patrick runs R-specs and is road registered. But yes, they'd be very close if they were running the same tyres ... and I see Patrick recently got himself some slicks. We'll see!
If you are attending Natmeet Bryan I'd go so far as to say I'd see you turning out lap times between 1:06.00 and 1:08.00, maybe better even in 'little reddy'. It won't take you long to get your 'eye in' around the place! Stock NA's can punch into the 'eights' and better
I'm registered for NatMeet and have already paid my entry for the Lakeside track day. I'm very keen to try out Lakeside and see what times I can squeeze out. However, I'm not entirely sure which car I'll be driving! I've just bought a 10AE with the intention of selling Little Reddy, but the 10AE needs work and not sure when it'll be ready for the track. I'm also not keen to risk Lakeside with a car I'm not entirely familiar with. So it may well be Little Reddy afterall.

Not selling little reddy! How could you! . Getting a bit tired? Drive it up, sell it and fly home?

Bryan
I saw the slicks at Patrick's on the way back north just before New Year [fantastic hosts!] As you no doubt saw in other posts I was lucky enough to have a ride in 'QIX' and also in the red supercharged NA, the deal being he got to drive the 86!
Little Reddy will be the go! Least you know what he does and how he behaves himself
10AE - nice! We actually had a track day where TWO were running, consider only 7,500 built - refer attached for ones like me who had to 'google' what a 10AE is

Thanks

Re: MX5 CLUB OF QLD TRACK DAY 17 FEBRUARY 2014
Thanks Roger. The 10AE is a lovely bit of kit which I've admired for the last few years (apparently we got the 3.636 diff ratio rather than 3.909 in other markets - link). It'll make a much more competitive car in Class 1B for CAMS Supersprints and Class 4 for club track days. After five years with the NA6, I'm now at the point where going faster is all down to the weather, which is getting a bit frustrating. So it's time for a change and a new challenge. Can't confirm when Little Reddy will be up for sale, but will keep the NatMeet idea in mind if anyone's keen to buy.

'Little Reddy' has to be one of the most reliable NA's going round Bryan, and considering where he/she goes like Winton, Phillip Island etc, sure it's a great car!
If you decide to part I'm sure it won't last long at all, proven, very proven track record!
I'm slowly trolling thru 1,184 photos from yesterday, I think I'm at 206 now so should get the job done by July!

Re: MX5 CLUB OF QLD TRACK DAY 17 FEBRUARY 2014
Thanks to all organisers and officials, and thanks too to the other drivers for a great day.
I finally made it out again, and although I dare not really say it out loud- I might have eliminated sufficient gremlins in the 'green meanie' (as my kids refer it her...)- with a full complement of runs, and a PB three seconds faster than last of 104.83.
New r spec rubber and an accompanying increase in vmax of 15ks through the kink helped with that! The heat did not. I drove the wheels off her progressively through the day but I fear heat soak took most of the gains back. I really struggled to keep the foot on the firewall and not cook her despite coolant re-routs and custom radiators...
I did enjoy my stoush with the Carrera S, and I also enjoyed a great run on the second last with less than .5 of a second between my slowest and fastest laps in the session...
Again thanks to all - a great day. Glad I brought it home straight and healthy...
Cheers, Rich.

Slightly off topic but nice to see Matt Davey at Lakeside practice yesterday morning in the ex-Chris Rice SP, first time out and pulled I think a 1:01.4 - well done Matt & the team for getting the car repaired and onto the track in such a short space of time!!
The car looks absolutely fantastic in the white/silver with the 'Automotive Plus' along the bottom of the doors

Indeed! Was he listed as "Todd Herney" on Natsoft? Fastest MX-5 on the day with a 1:00.892 - not surprised as he's got a very quick car. Lucky for you guys, Todd isn't going to NatMeet.
Bryan
Yes, Natsoft has got it wrong , definately is Todd who was second fastest to Callum in the Nissan - beaut little car and I think he left with a huge smile as well!! We made sure he felt welcome and hope to see him back again - best you ask him next time you see as to what he thought of the track!!
Very quick and Todd has done a nice job fitting the Nissan GTR RB26 engine in it.
He should call it the MX5 Godzilla. Big effort coming up from NSW Good to see hope he comes again
