Re: My Black NB8A
New rocker cover and cam sensor should see the motor running again. At the moment I be happy if it's not a write off.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: My Black NB8A
A very sad sight to see mate.....
There's no doubt about it, you don't want to hit any kind of wildlife out there, at least it wasn't a wombat, they're more like hitting a solid rock!
Hopefully it won't be a write-off but with the cost of a replacement bonnet plus the other damage (radiator & front cross member in particular) I wouldn't hold my breath.....
The main thing is that you are ok!
The car can be replaced if required.....

Doubt it will be a write off, saw worse damage on a Na repaired recently.

Damn, seeing the mess of the bonnet and rocker you saved serious injuries by it not going thru the screen. Good Luck with the rebuild.

Re: My Black NB8A
Got word back today, my car will not be written off .
Was a bit touch and go, $7600 repair bill on a $10,500 insured value. Pretty sure I'm getting back all the premiums back that I've paid over the years.

are they coming to the party with some form of loan/hire car, or do you have to lump it?

I have numerous cars I can borrow to get around, could even break out the deadly treadly and try and lose a few kg.

Good luck with the repairs Peter.
Yep. This little encounter was from a glancing blow on Tourist Road at Glenquarry.

Re: My Black NB8A
Got my car back today!
First couple of hundred metres of driving it were a bit odd after driving a range of other vehicles in the last month. It felt special, it felt alive.
So now back to business as usual, more mods, track days and adventures to come .
