IMO I would Buy another stock SE, swap your mods over, then part out the crashed one. SE has lots of goodies that people like to upgrade too.

Or if you could afford it
Exocet kit and used the crashed SE's bits to make it go choo choo.

Sorry to hear about the damage, lots of SE's being written off recently

If you do want to part out body bits and interior stuff I wouldn't mind buying the se front lip and rear deck carpet. Some where in its life my se has lost it's :cry:

Sorry the front lip was damaged from the accident.
I do have rear deck carpet which I had it removed since I bought the car.
Will PM you when I can locate it.

This is looking like an awesome donor for Exocet project for someone.

I really enjoy driving the MX5 on the normal roads as well as occasional track days. After thinking about it, having a track car will mean I can only drive the MX5 on the track only. I will miss out driving on normal roads. Which mean I will end up having 3 cars and a trailer to make it work. I do track it 3-4 times a year only so trailer and tow is really not suitable for me. This will also lead to my divorce for sure.

I was talking to some friends that have tow car and maybe if we all put in the cash to fix up the damage and get a trailer we can have a track car to share between the group. So this idea is not entirely impossible just do not want to do it myself.

I am already in process of removing the parts and they are going onto another SE. Another black Mica.

Just want to see what options are there with the left over bits of the salvage car.

Probably the easiest thing for you to do, just swap all your mods onto the new one and sell off the crashed one.

I know how you feel about having a track only car. The thought of it sounds really good but when you think about it, its more complicated and expensive then first thought.

You would have your track car which can only be used on the track, you would need something big for a tow car, then you need a decent car trailer, then you need something fun to drive on the road for the weekend cruise or mountain drive etc. Easier just to have the one or two cars, and save costs on everything else. Then even if you could afford all that then you need space to store/park everything lol. Too expensive and too much of a hassle to me lol. Having one car for everything works ;)
