Looking at replacing some of the crappy gear that came in my car.
Is there a aero pro wiring harness or similar for the MX5? Mine is a 1994.
At this stage would probably just want to run the two speakers off the headunit. Is there a way to bridge both channel's on a headunit to give the speakers a bit more power? Plan on using the factory speaker wires too. Just moved all the bs wiring out of my car from the prev owner....
Don't really want component (splits), prefer a coaxial.
Any recommendation's?
Pref from JB cause i get a discount ;)

Not being funny, but why don't you go to JB and listen to some? Speakers are so subjective and what sounds good to some doesn't to others.
Regarding bridging your headunit's internal amp - think about the new load you would be presenting your headunit with, I would imagine you would be halving it down to one ohm, at this impedance 99% of headunits would not be stable.
Regarding the Aerpro harness - yes, it is the Mazda specific harness not MX5 specific

Bought some speakers today, but most of the headunits are quite expensive.
Going to hold off for a sale or some different model's to came out.
I picked up a JVC unit a while ago, while not the most aesthetically pleasing with the old fashioned alarm clock type display, it had usb, bluetooth, cd and 3x rca outputs for $125. It was hard to beat its value. Anything similar is about $250-$300 staff pricing.

How have people installed there speakers? Mine don't match up to the factory holes, and previously somebody has made some random holes from the last speakers. Is there a spacer you can buy? Or do people make there own custom ones?
