Wow. That is brutal. You have tried all of the things I would have gone with. Unless some chemical engineer has some amazing recipe I would resort to painting them.

Tell us what is is so it can be avoided
previous owner of my ca must have used it too as white splashes of "stuff" were on black plastic - i.e. charcoal canister - it did polish off and then i used plastic restorer and its hardly noticeable.

I feel how pi$$ed off you must be.

OK this is the stuff that I used. Like I said, I had my doubts about it but when the guy advises you that this is THE stuff, I tend to listen. Anyway enough crying, I have moved on.Image

There is no way that the damage can be polished off. The plastic has reacted with the chemical. My plan is to replace/upgrade the damaged stuff. Not much else I can do about it

I know where you can get some cheap! To be honest I don't remember how much it was, around $20 if I had to guess.

I like the idea of upgrading the radiator and intake.

Good excuse to get the Mazdaspeed oil cap too.

Fuse box might be a PITA to replace.

What else is damaged?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Will take a snap tomorrow in the daylight. Basically everything black has some blemish on it. The plastics are the worst, the rubber, not too bad. The radiator top tank and oil fill cap are the worst. The others include the fans, fuse box, both dipstick handles, all the plugs and hose holders. Its pretty extensive. I will be at the RAC meet on sunday if anyone wants to look firsthand.

I have a big box full of all sorts of plastic bits and pieces from the couple of NB's and 1 SE that I have wrecked along the way. Might be able to help you our with some of the bits and pieces. I also have most od the stock SE pipework, inlcuding rubber hoses if you need them.

Sounds like I am not too far from you either. I use the same AutoOne, and have been really happy with the service up to now.
