Hi guys, this could go into the electronics sub-forum as well but my questions pertain mostly to trim.
Here we go.
So I put my name on the list to get an Auxmod, (http://www.sylfex.com/products/AuxMod/) and thought I'd add some other nice features if I'm going to be pulling things apart etc.
I want the Aux cable to feed through to the centre console, and plan on adding some power sockets in there as well.
I'll use the power to integrate a QI wireless phone charger and some sort of wireless music streaming (by plugging the aux cable into either a wifi or bluetooth device.)
Had some inspiration from this post: http://gearheadsmiataclub.net/vB/showth ... -amp-light
To do so I'll need to get some trim off, and this is where the questions start.
There's plenty of literature explaining how to get the 2DIN stereo out, and also the sentre console itself, but what about the plastic trim surrounding the 2DIN and HVAC controls?
I'll need access to the back of the 12v socket to splice the power to the console.
Any comments or general advice is greatly welcomed!

Once you get the centre console out you'll see two philips head screws at the bottom of the trim. Take those two screws out and gently pry the trim off starting from the bottom.
