Wow looks cool! a volvo turbo? What made you decide to do that instead of the WRX one you had?

Re: The journey to Apu
Fab by me, tune by MX5 Mania, at 140rwkw (188rwhp) on what is according to the dyno only 7.3psi it has a LOT more in it, but this is what he is comfy with right now. You can see how smooth and progressive the power is, completely unintimidating to drive to the shops but double factory HP for the weekends.
Quiet exhaust, excellent ecu and tune, recirculated blow off valve and careful placement of components along with a nice airbox and satin black paint leaves a very OEM look, and a super quiet OEM like drive with practically zero cop bait effect.
Look back at the first image and try to spot the front mount, it actually takes up the entire mouth.

Re: The journey to Apu
Thanks Dann. Fab work on the manifold and 'cooler piping was fantastic as always.
Mania has done a great job of the tuning too. The car comes onto boost sooo smoothly. The only problem is that the 4.1 final drive is now too short...1st gear is pretty much useless.

Re: The journey to Apu
I had a 4.1 in Scooby for about 2 weeks and changed gears about 26 million times.
I have the 3.6 back in now which is great for around those power figures and even better for when you wind it up to 15psi and 250 hp.

Re: The journey to Apu
Is it still using MAF for tuning? Was it kept just to keep it looking OEM?

So where do you get one of those air-boxes?
It's one seriously sexy bit of kit!
