A busy weekend for me now, have to finish stripping paint from the engine bay of the shell so I can paint the underside and engine bay, plus prep the MX.

At least the MX is easy, an oil change a quick check of the brake pads, but should be plenty of meat left, and then throw the track wheels on and give the car a wash.

The driveway will look like a used car yard with all the cars being moved around to get the room in the garage to work on the two "race" cars.

Allianz charges $10 for each CTP

One of the guys running then asked for the Supervisor and said he would change CTP Companies over this and was then given a $50 fuel card to cover the costs!! Well done Alex!

Darryl Kerrigan: Ay Steve, can you move the Camira? I need to get the Torana out to get to the Commodore.
Steve Kerrigan: Sure thing Dad, but I'll have to get the keys to the Cortina if I'm gunna move that Camira.
Darryl Kerrigan: Alright mate, just watch the boat

...and that's per day too, so $20 for a two day competition event like the MGCCQ weekend hillclimbs. :frown:
Suncorp (AAI) is free.

One of the 86 guys coming Monday was told by Suncorp $10.00 and he had to pick it up - not so sure if that's right so maybe someone can confirm :frown:

He must have spoken to someone without a clue then. I'm with Suncorp, and if you call the CTP support number they d oit free and email or fax it to you the same day. I did mine a week ago without a problem.

I'm with suncorp and have never paid, all I do is email through to CTPBiz@suncorp.com.au with my request and it gets emailed back to me.

Thanks all, unfortunately I can't let him know that until I am home tonight as contact is thru 'facebook' and no doubt he will have paid it by then, or maybe the Office he attends will know more than the person he spoke to

His name is Mike, new 86 with quite a few mods under the bonnet, exhaust etc but NEVER done a track day before and he will be taking it easy - please make him and others welcome

Good to see a nice response - thanks again all!!

If he is in the last group (with me) I will do my best to make him (and the others) feel welcome and have an enjoyable day.

Your track prep is different from mine. I just left the car out tonight so that if it rains between today and Monday, it'll get a wash. None of this washing/tyre blacking etc.

Callum has gotten his engine back together, he had the block machined. He was getting 295rwhp at 19psi before, now he's squeezing 315rwhp from only 14psi. Could give Dwayn a real run for his money at the Lakeside rounds this year.
