Carbs are like mega squirts , effective but very basic methods of getting fuel in your engine that result in atrocious fuel consumption. They are generally used by those not smart enough to figure out how to use a real fuel injection set up.

Yeah but three or four italian side draft or even IDF downdraft make the most glorious noises at idle or at WOT, especially three of them on a large six doing around 5-6000rpm.

Not long till Feb 2 street sprints either.

For whoever asked Im pretty sure the mid week sprints use the clubman circuit, pretty sure that's what I saw on QR website a few months ago. Iv never dríven clubman circuit so should be good.

Sweet as! What time do you think you will get there? Briefing is at 6 pm I think.

I finish work at 3 leave by 3:20 so might duck home have a shower throw the gear in the car and head up. Leave by 4:15 or so. Only takes just over an hour for me to get there.

Cool Ill easily be there by then. Hopefully the traffic isn't too bad. Lucky for me only thing I need to do to the car is adjust he coilovers and attach timer haha.

I just registered and paid for the midweek night sprints Rnd 1

also registered and paid for the Rnd 1 QR street sprints which is on Feb 2

So excited cant wait to get back out on the track!

Hot. Partly cloudy. Scattered showers and thunderstorms from the late morning. Light winds becoming E/SE 20 to 30 km/h in the middle of the day. Daytime maximum temperatures 33 to 41.

6pm - Slight chance storm

At the moment 21 paid entries. The online booking system shows how many spots are left

What a night, lightning, storm, rain, wet track what more could you ask for!

I managed a 1:13:52 at the end of the night, however the tyres never got up to temp or hot pressure so it was very messy. However it was fun

Night and wet track made it all the more fun, especially when a RX7 spun on turn 1 and I was just behind him!

Looking through the video footage and there is some nice shots of the lightning so I will post them soon.

Shane and Rhys good to catch up.

It was a fun night indeed! The weather made it that little more exciting. The lightening was pretty spectacular although not so much when mid corner and you get a massive flash in front of you kind of blinds you for a second lol. First 2 sessions were nice and slippery so good for some tail out action then the last 2 the racing line was drying out so had some decent grip to get the hammer down and I got some pretty good laps in by that time.
