Last weekend I did the passengers side Project G quarter panel window as well as tinted both of them.

Door card removed

Bolts for quarter window support removed

First screw at the top of the quarter panel removed

Peel back the rubber and remove the second screw

Slide the support out

Remove the quarter panel window

Project G windows tinted. I will not say how many times I tried this, but make sure a lot of dishwashing liquid and water, the more slippery it all is the easier it is. However, tinting the thin Perspex when it is not in a frame does make the job harder so maybe next time the tint will be done after the window is installed, but I digress...

Now just reverse the remove method.

I did try and tint the vents but I gave up, so I used some round stickers I had at home. The risk of the vents is that it can cause carpet burning due to the shape of the vent and it is suggested by Project G that a small sticker is used in the middle to stop this from happening.

Finished

Whilst it looks the same on the outside the tint I used is different to the one I had professionally installed. Next time I will have it done professionally...

You're gonna hate me Mark, but for CAMS race events, no window tint other than factory allowed.

As for the smoke from the brakes whilst bedding in, not a worry. Quite often my road pads in various cars are smoking at the end of the bedding in session, it's just the crap on the pad and sometimes the rotors just burning off.

Now to get rid of that brake booster....

Consider yourself hated! I have the stock quarter windows, however they have tint! I can always pull the tint off the Project G ones or buy another set.

Car just got polished today and is now under a cover. Tuesday wing goes back on and it will be loaded onto the trailer ready for Wed night.

Thanks Roger, a nice start to a Saturday, a long drive, coffee and good company!

The de winged car is no where as stable as it was in the past, even at low speeds. The car is more tail happy and the rear does jack up more (data backs this up) so more care is now needed with the right foot!

Wing back on, loaded on trailer ready for my other half to drop it off at MX5 Plus for a pre-race inspection. Then my other half will be back at Plus on Wednesday (with trailer) to pick it up, come into West End pick me up so I can go to the QR Mid Week night sprints. I wonder how happy she will be?

The yellow is for the Amarok (as it is Diesel), there is a red one on the other side for the MX5. If needed I can replace the yellow with a red :)

Hmmmmm, so you'll be at MX5+ with a tow vehicle and a trailer?

I just thought of a great way of getting Lokiel's new engine run in!

Amarok always been black. I got the MX5. Built the trailer to suit, purchased the Amarok to tow the trailer. Not the smartest way to go about it!

See you at QR!
