RFS reports 3 fires near or on Putty Rd. All reported as under control at the moment but 2 are quite large.

Will see how it develops but today is predicted to be hot with high winds.

Looks like it's still being 'controlled'.

I'll check it again first thing tomorrow and assess the situation when we gather at Maccas.

Have a good rest tonight everyone.

Count me in for the drive. Hope the fires are under control and well away from the road.

Just landed from tokyo today if I wake up after 26 hours of bullet trains and planes I'll be there.
Saw the fires from the plane on the way in. looked to be under wraps... Kinda

Crap! Missed the alarm. :? I had a big day yesterday in Canberra in all that heat with no aircon. Today I'm driving to Newcastle for the Chapter run and evening BBQ. Hope the breakfast run went well.

A great run (a first for and my MX5) and lots of fun. :)

Really good to meet you all.
I now see why you all stayed off the freeway.... not fun with all the holiday 4WD's.
The Pacific Hwy for me next time.
