Where can I get an aircon relay in Perth?

Postby sticky nicky » Tue Jan 14, 2014 4:27 pm

Hi guys,

I am chasing a 6 pin aircon relay for my NA6. I have tried several auto shops, Mazda and Coventrys. No one can help. Do any of the Perth guys know where I can get one or has anyone got one hanging around?

Thanks Nicky.

I can only think of brand new one from Mazda, as I remember there are Mazda parts office somewhere on Sevenoaks st. When you diver down to south follow the train rail, you will find that on your right handside. I've been there once for my NB HVAC, but I really have to get the address as I can't find it on google map.

Will let you know once I found the address, I am sure they will have. But you will have to wait for a couple weeks. Because they will get the parts from Japan.

Ok, I went to Parkland mazda spare parts this morning and he told me there was no part list for the Mk1 aircon relay and they couldnt help me any further. They sent me to a place in Welshpool called "Alanco", who also couldnt help me. If you can find the details ill try the place you went too thanks.

From here: Mazda website
Mazda Parts WA
42 Charles St
BENTLEY, WA, 6102
Phone: 08 92515000
Fax: 08 92515099

Good luck (you'll need it dealing with them)! Hope they can actually find the part on their software and if so, hope you brace yourself for the costs.

I also remember that I used to have the contact details for the aircon guys that Mazda Dealers used themselves use so if you need that let me know and I'll search for it.

If all else fails and you must use a genuine Mazda part, may I politely suggest our sponsors like MX-5 Plus etc., then MX-5 Parts UK (<- link is to the exact part you need) or Rosenthal Mazda in Arlington, U.S.A.? They had the original part I needed (NA8 alternator) in stock and sent it to me within 5 business days for ... wait for it... less than a quarter of what Mazda Parts WA wanted - plus it was delivered to my door with tracking! 8)

As an afterthought, can you post up a photo of said 6 pin A/C relay? No promises but I will check if I have one sitting in the shed or garage.

Les

**EDIT** - Just checked and no relay sorry.

Finally I found it, this was the one I went last time. They should have the thing you want.
But prepare it is going to be expensive for sure. Last I asked the HVAC for my NB cost about $800.

Sorry Tescoking, that link is not to Mazda Parts WA but to all the Mazda Dealers in the Perth metropolitan area.

To the OP: Please refer to the address I posted above.

Ummm, its in the engine bay just behind the drivers side headlight, sits there by itself with a black rubber cover over it.

Have you tried any auto-elecs in the area? There may be a generic one you can use that just needs some snipping and crimping. If there are none going around, I'd take this route. It's worth a shot.

Yes I guess I could try that, dealing with an auto electician scares me though, all I see is $ signs, I think Id rather order from the UK and get the genuine new part for $50. Thanks for the idea anyway, Ill keep it in mind.

Aah, I did not realise Parkland had rung Mazda Parts WA (unclear in your post).

MX5 Parts UK can be really quick with their deliveries and even when it does go wrong, they've looked after me by sending the part again at no charge. Good luck with it all!
