Urgent help on 6spd gearbox please!!!!
Hi everyone, I took my car to my mechanic for changing gearbox oil today. However, one newbie from his shop took out the wrong bolt from the gearbox and now cannot put back. I believed that is the one suppose to hold the 5th, 6th and reverse gear.
What can I do now? Please help!!!
Anyone in Perth can be volunteer and give me a hand please?

Make sure it is the mechanic who pays for sorting this and not you.

The boss is a friend of mine, I am sure he knows what to do, he just asked that newbie to stay for two weeks just for the gearbox. But the point is I don't have car for two weeks and I don't know what could happen in this two weeks /.\
Any volunteer in Perth,WA please help me

you will need to take the gearbox to a specialist to have it rebuilt.
ask your friend to provide you with a courtesy car in the meantime.

It's not your problem, it is your mate's problem. He owes you a loaner, and to carry the can for the fix. He is not much of a mate if he can't man up over this, even if it is going to hurt him.
You might suggest that a temporary fix would be to install a 5-speed, while he sources (or you source for him, at his expense) a replacement 6-speeder.
Good luck.

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

As above. It's the fault of your mechanic. He needs to pay the full costs of the repair and of keeping you mobile in an equivalent car. It's an expensive repair and one that's easily avoided by doing the job right in the first place instead of just guessing.

We just found the 6 speed gearbox manual.
They are trying to rebuild the whole gearbox in this two weeks.

Tempted to stick something over that gearbox bolt so no one ever makes that mistake on my car.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Does changing gear box oil require mismantling the gearbox?
What if the bolt was just a random orphan on the shop floor!!!

Re: Urgent help on 6spd gearbox please!!!!
No need for dismantling to change the oil.
Your mechanic just needed to find the manual before he started removing bolts.
