I think the ATI 01+ WRX/STi triple gauge pod would look good mounted above the centre vents since its curves match the centre air vent curves, but back as far as possible:
Image
- but the price, OUCH!: http://www.tuspeed.com/ati-wrxsti-triple-gauge-pod-p-1181.html
- you'd need to do some custom work to mount it to the dash, those clips probably wouldn't work.

The Ford Racing BOSS Gauge Pod might be OK, MUCH cheaper and an excellent base mount that you can screw to your dash and attach the hood over:
Image
http://www.americanmuscle.com/boss-gauge-pod-1012.html
- would try and mount the gauges so that they face towards the driver

The twin Saleen Gauge Pod could be fitted closer to the instrument cluster (ie. not in the centre of the dashboard) but I don't think it mounts solidly enough:
Image
See http://saleenforums.soec.org/showthread.php?t=8719
See bradk04's post for his install in an MSM: http://www.mazda-speed.com/forum2/index.php/topic,28617.0.html
- Id prefer them angled towards the driver and between the cluster and closest centre air vent (althoough being closer to the driver, they probably don't need to be angled so much).

Have to agree entirely with you here, it's pretty telling that everyone who gets an SE ends up doing almost exactly the same thing!
Which ECU solution are you looking at?

How many kilometres does yours have on the clock?

Hmmmm, they would probably work ok on the SE, what colour would you go for?

De-badge?!.... Just goes to show how everyone's taste is different, wouldn't even dream of de-badging mine....

Lok, wow very organised haha but I will be making something from scratch.

Nev, they aint the same wheels haha, Meisters have a stepped lip. And would be metallic silver, not polished/shadow chrome.
ECU wise, will go an Adaptronic I think, seems the best value with a lot of support. I am not interested in any DIY tuning whatsoever. Its not often that I say this haha but will leave that to the professionals.

Reggie, I support that decision haha
Here is a terribly photoshopped picture of what I want.

Also, keen on the oem NB8A factory sideskirts

Well..... They looked pretty much the same to me  , just trying to get a bit of an idea how they'd look.... Damn you Google image search for leading me astray!
Thanks for the more accurate image, looks damn good in that shot, will you be going that low or a more street friendly height?
I keep coming back to a 5 spoke design, like the OEM Racinghart rims are, as being the style that works best with the NB.

As for floor mats, check out mx5parts.co.uk as they seem to have quite a range available new for very reasonable prices.

Mine also came with non-standard floor mats..... but they're from an SP so I think I'll keep them!

Wow what a great wheel - they look good in green cars too.

16x7 +27 // Front
16x7.5 +22 // Rear

I think

Could do with another -10mm or so on both.

If you do decide you don't want the SE spoiler send me a PM.

Depending on price (and my bank account at the time) I may be interested in buying it.

You've gone a bit quiet there Emily*, what are you up to with this one?

* I refuse to believe there can be anything more important out there for you to do when you've got a newly aquired SE to play with...

..... or are you busy assembling that red NAB8 hybrid for sale to fund some more bitz for the SE?

Hahaha welllllll, yes spent a couple of days on the NA8, might post up some pics tomorrow.

Unfortunately I'm still on P plates, and in NSW that means no turbs :(

I jumped on this SE because it was phenomenally priced, and immaculate, but I still have to wait :(

I have applied for an exception, as in stock form the SE is actually really really slow. Waiting for the letter that should come any day now.

Bummer! I forgot about the P-plate thing..... Assuming you end up getting a letter of exemption will that restrict you from making any performance upgrades until you're off the P's?

Scenario..... you get a cranky Cop who pulls you over for no better reason than he sees a P-plater driving a turbo. You show him the letter so that's sweet but he then goes over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb, just because he's in one of those moods and has already pulled you over. Finds some mods and then defects the vehicle, or if they're legal, fines you for driving a vehicle you're authorised to drive because it's modded...... :(

I know you were saying earlier one of the first things you wanted to do was a CAI and that's a pretty obvious mod.....

How much longer are you stuck on those dreaded P's?

if I get an exemption, I wont touch the car, no point pushing my luck, as its very possible to get pulled over and inspected.
I'll do things like get my hardtop painted, sound system, gear knob etc. Minor things that don't break the law lol.
