Yes...
I think I am like 5th or 6th owner.. haha they been around..
Last owner did a good job of reupholstering in leather. It makes it more OEM look and very fitting to the MX5 interior..

Those seats match the car so nicely. Obvious why you won several awards at this years Presidents picnic event

Re: Yemin's 'Tiny' SE
Not modifying an SE is like buying an MX-5 and never doing any motorsport.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: Yemin's 'Tiny' SE
Time to make some progress update. Been a bit lazy with updating my own garage thread and just really enjoy reading other member's upgrades on the forum.
Recently upgraded Adaptronic ECU from piggy back version to a full stand alone version. The process to upgrade to the new ECU was not as simple but made some changes to the the tune to start and drive. Then got it fully tuned and running by MRC. Apart from idle RPM dropping very low when the radiator fans kick in the rest works well, just like the piggy back version. I'm still getting help from Andy to manage the RPM drop problem. Its great to have after sales support like this. In the mean time I have the idle set to run a little higher (1075rpm) to avoid stalling the engine.
The power output after the tune remains almost identical with this new ECU on this SE, compared to the SE that was written off. 153kw old SE vs 149kw new SE. They have exactly the same mods. Just goes to show how alike these cars can be.
Tested out the tune at SMP over the weekend. It was a great day and the car ran really well and no major issues and got plenty of power. However the driver need more track time to get better lap times I think.
Will have to join more MX5 club events cos the one I went to just took too long between sessions and not enough track time to build confidence. But nevertheless it was a good opportunity to test out all the mods I have move over from the old SE.
Some new parts that are still getting ready to go onto the car. They are now at body shop to fit them and will be painted to match. They are going onto spare bonnet and spare boot lid. So the originals will be put away if I want to swap back to originals.
These just arrive today as well. It was a long wait for these to become available so had to grab a set immediately when they become available.

The extractor vents are from Garage Vary. And got them through autostyle-USA dot com.
In my picture above they were only stuck on using electric tape to work out where I want them to be fitted for the shop. They will be stuck on from underneath to get a flush fit instead of sticking the vents on top of the bonnet.
Edit: this is the picture of the Garage Vary car with the vents on and really liked the look of them.

They are made by Vindi from MX5nutz forum. They took forever to be made actually (I'm talking like 6 months to receive) and if I had the chance I would just order a one piece carbon ducktail boot lid to start off with.

Re: Yemin's 'Tiny' SE
Yemin, it was good to meet you yesterday at FoSC. You have a very nice car there with some tasteful mods. Hope to see you at Wakefield Park with the MX5 Club. Neil
