Interesting different peoples perspectives, ive removed the gaudy silver trim around the aircon vents and I recon it looks better all black.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Don't really think you have Em....

Besides, your car is already a hybrid, just throw a few NC bitz into the mix and everyone will be happy!

I like the NB interior too, but I also think the NB is the perfect balance of MX5 vs every day car - each to their own.

As for the airbag part, I'd do exactly as planned and cover the original part for a nice factory look, maybe even hinge it as a second glovebox/storage compartment.
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.

Well I have been set on an SE for a very long time.
Sold the green one to fund it, been saving for ages, bought the red one to not be without an mx5 haha, as I thought it would be a lot longer before I could get an SE.

I've been collecting top shelf NB parts for about 6 months now, so will get to modding this one asap haha.

Has anybody got any pics of a VR SE that's been de-spoilered? and maybe with the factory small side skirts?

It's the WRONG COLOUR! :P

I'm surprised you want to get rid of the rear spoiler, apart from the OEM 17" boat anchors (which I don't doubt you'll upgrade) it's one of the few external "give-aways" that it's an SE.

I've almost gotten rid of all SE-specific parts in my car but I'm happy to keep the rear spoiler since it doesn't look too bad and they're not that common - you should be able to get some good $$$ for it though.

[color=#000080]Hey Emily, congrats on the acquisition of the MOST desirable model of the MX family, especially the colour! It's doin at least 30KPH standing still. Make it your own, and don't be influenced by any body else's 'insecurities' about their choices. The wheels look gr8, and are an icon of this ultimate OEM specd version of the 'Marque'. They suit the car like veg suits toast. (Lok "get over it"! Not everyone has sugar in their coffee, cream on their scones, OR bolognese on their spaghetti, but to THEM, it's the taste that's right. It's rude not to let them enjoy their preference!).
BTW I will contact you about the plugs.
