Since I have the carbon fibre wrap left over and I don't want to waste it. So I go for some parts that is easier to wrap and the result is perfect. Here are some pictures, you can find a lot of tutorials online so I will just skip the process.

Finally I can afford to buy a set of 15inch wheels for my car :D
I took everyone's recommandation and got some KU31 with them.
15x8 +25 wheels, 12.4lbs each, polished silver surface. 205/50/15 KU31, Excellant combination.

I got them from "good win racing" but unfortunately they don't ship anything oversea, I was lucky to get my friend to receive it first and ship it to me, the shipping cost $300USD.

My mechanic removed the wrong bolt for gearbox oil change, and now we had to strip the whole gearbox

After we fix the gearbox
I have found some upgrade for my shifter
- Doctor MX5 shifter boot, the previous one did not suit my short shifter so they sent me another one
- some heat insulate to close the gap between the shifter boot and the body
- Beatrush shifter collar/cup

To remove the cup of the Miata short shifter kit was a nightmare, it took me 2 days to remove it and I had to damage it with no choice, some of the chips from the rubber collar had fell into the shift torrent during the process but I hope the chips will not get into the gearbox since they are sticked on the grease and I cannot pick them up.

I put the Beatrush shifter collar in but honestly I don't feel any difference, somehow the shifter actually have more space to move around when it is in neutral. Hopefully that will not affect the shifting.

Lastly, I replaced the spring on the soft top so my soft top will not choke when I put it down :D

Wheels look great Tesco! I'm leaning towards the Wideopens, maybe in ET20 offset. Brian Goodwin quoted me $90 shipping per wheel to Australia....this was in early January, so maybe he's shipping again to AUS?

Any issues with rubbing at that offset mate? What suspension are you running?

I am having lower springs. I am not really sure did my wheels hit the fender, but it could be possible as I noticed the edge of the fender has black mark, it might be the tyres touching the fender when it went over a speed bump. I asked the guy who installed the tyres for me, he said no need to do guard rolling but I can if I want to. I might do guard rolling as well when I change my suspension to sport coilover.

I am so happy today because I finally found the problem and finally solved it. So here is the problem. My window was making squeaky noise and all the time I thought it was because the weather strip, so I ordered a new one and replaced it, but the problem is still the same, then I ordered some new clips and installed it too... The problem is still here, so I got really piss off because I was all the time thinking it was because the strip, so I spent so much time on adjusting the strip but its still the same. Then I put a paper between the glass and the strip and it still making noise. Therefore I found out the noise wasn't from the strip. I took off the door cards and I try and try, listen and listen. Finally I found out the noise was from the track. And I just simply put some grease in there, no more noise... This took me couple days to find out, so silly.

Nice driving last night Tesco, think you were the fastest of the low HP cars.

So more power for TKC?
Or a new, dedicated, stripped out track toy?

Thanks, it was just beginner's luck. I still have a lot to improve, for example I would like to get in and out for the corner like Sean (yellow MX5), he was like dirfting in and out. Also I need to ask Aart more about the driving technique, I didn't know that I should brake harder and shorter distance until last event in Barbagallo. At this stage I will just upgrade my handling and suspension for better cornering and look. Probably not going to get another car for track as I still have a lot need to discover with TKC :D

While that Seanan guy was spectacular to watch (and an all round top bloke), he was at least 1 second slower than you on his best lap.

The beauty of the mx5 is it is such a great all rounder, ie it can be a great daily driver AND weekend track toy, having two makes no sense to me.

Regards,
Seanan.

Yup that Seanan guy is a champ, sounds like it was a great event, sorry I missed it.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Hey Dave, it was awesome. The rain made the event became more excited. And the recommendation tyre from you guys was excellent - KU31. It really handle very well even under wet condition. I just couldn't believe it. It didn't slip much. Very effective for that price.

Are you liking the miata roadster short shifter now that you have had it a while?
I am thinking of getting one.
