THANK YOU PATRICK!!

Postby zero00 » Sun Dec 22, 2013 7:52 pm

Many thanks to Patrick Brampston and his family for making me so welcome at their Motel last night whilst en route to Wagga Wagga!!

Great to have a run in 'QIK-005' and also in the red MX-05-SC supercharged NA, both beautiful cars! Of course all I had to offer was a drive in my GTS86, but being a gentleman he accepted and I think he enjoyed it!

If you are reading this Patrick, the 6.11L/100km from Sunshine Coast to Taree, well I couldn't better that today with strong headwinds and 42F temps, so just managed a lousy 6.52L/100km to Gundagai!! The climate was going the whole way from Sydney down

many thanks again for your hospitality - I will be back!!

Welcome anytime, could see me again in a week or less! 86 has been 'parked' since I got down here Sunday arvo and current drive is an '81 Civic Hatch, had done 8km since I drove it same time last year, lovely driving along with cobwebs etc hanging and blowing off it!! Catch up soon and to you and your family and ALL MX5 owners/worshippers MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Still revelling in and getting over the ride in the white NA!! Oh what a car!!

Fuel $1.56/L, honey roasted cashews $4 - a ride in that? PRICELESS!!
