Re: 5x Hazard Light Flashes.... Error code?
Did it start just after the ECU change?
I would hazard a guess that the new ECU doesn't use the immobiliser chip in the key, and the light is whatever remains of the immobiliser system saying that it thinks it's been hotwired or something (perhaps it's expecting a signal from the ECU?)
No idea how the system works, but normally a car with a key logo is a symbol for immobiliser/alarm/central locking

NB8A? Try the alternator - mine did that before I found some dodgy diodes in the control module. I was running a Haltech E8 at the time, IIRC.

Re: 5x Hazard Light Flashes.... Error code?
Well the 5x Hazard light flicker happened occasionally even with the stock ECU in. Sometimes it happens twice in a perfect series, making it ten flickers. It flickers at about twice the pace than if you were to press the hazard light button.
The Car with the key light only happened after I changed the ECU out to Adaptronic.
Yeah, it's an NB8A.
Greenmachine, what do you mean - Check my Alternator?
Thanks!
Dan.

The NB8A alternator has a control module inside it - the voltage regulator. This has diodes, which failed in my case. Replacing the alternator, or just the module if the rest is still good, is the fix for this problem.
See if you can borrow an alternator - make sure it is the right one - and see if the problem goes away. Obviously, it needs to be an alternator you know is working properly.

EDIT: AFAIK, this has nothing to do with running an aftermarket ECU, at least mine was unrelated. I replaced the alternator, and all was good.
